The Missing Link!

They finally found it, the missing link!

I knew it would be only a matter of time before they unearthed the discovery of all discoveries.

Finally, the opponents can bury their weak-faith opinions in the ground.

There is no more room for a debate. The evidence is now in hand.

In a dark cavern behind the aperture of the soul gate, in the region of the dry hills of fore, the world will now get a glimpse of what has been missing from solidifying the truth.

The theory of evolution has found its missing link:

The brain.

Or more precisely, common sense.

Oh, yes, ladies and gentlemen, that soft, pudgy, ridged, grey matter located inside the human skull is all that is necessary to eradicate the fable of all fables. But for some strange reason some people's common sense sensor seems to be clogged. Amazingly, some of whom the world considers the "smartest" people on the planet have been led astray by fairy tales. And, sadly, the illogical theory of evolution lives on as genuine science. And what's more? Apparently, the scientific world thinks it has the new "missing link" discovery that will forever concrete any holes in their prized doctrine. It is affectionately being called the "Holy Grail" of Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution:

"...researchers Tuesday unveiled an almost perfectly intact fossil of a 47 million-year-old primate they say represents the long-sought missing link between humans and apes. Officially known as Darwinius masillae, the fossil of the lemur-like creature dubbed Ida...[has been discovered]" (From http://www.nydailynews.com/)

Yes, the theory of evolution is once again evolving. Atheists finally have the proof necessary to live in total peace without even the slightest hint of the necessity of being subjected to what they say is the ludicrousness of a deistic authority (God).

Let me put that in simpler words: Evolution, and the proponents of it, have not, and are not trying to prove Charles Darwin's theory-they are trying to disprove God; that is, after all, the premise of evolution. Evolution is the alternative to being subjected to God's authority. It eliminates any possibility of being held accountable for ones actions. For, if there is no one greater than man, then there is no one to be subjected to. That must be the case, correct? Evolution is the teaching that man is the superior to all other things; that man is the ultimate survivor...that man has overcome, evolved, and developed into a superior being-something the dinosaurs and other extinct animals couldn't do. But there are so many holes to their theory. No, actually, let me rephrase that: there is nothing but a hole for a theory.

In Ben Stein's documentary on Evolution vs. Intelligent Design (Expelled, 2008), one of the evolutionary biologists interviewed claimed that spontaneous life necessary for evolution may have been born on the backs of crystals. What? If such smart scientists have concocted such idiotic conclusions, just how low is the IQ of those who believe what they propagate? And they actually take their self seriously. Its stuff fit for late night television and yet we can pay upwards of $4,000 per collegiate class to learn what has not been proven.  Only in this world! I can just imagine what would happen if a Christian proposed something so foolish.

But haven't there been discoveries like this before? Haven't there been partial human, partial animal fossils that prove the transitional formations necessary for the theory of evolution? Discoveries of something, yes; provability, no!

Circa 1910 AD: Piltdown man was discovered. It was estimated that Piltdown Man was approximately 300,000 to 900,000 years old. The scientific community instantly deemed Piltdown Man the evolutionary gem of the century. The missing link had been discovered in 1910.

Oops! Apparently, Piltdown Man turned out to be a complete hoax (1953). Radiocarbon testing proved that the skull was from a 600-year-old woman, and the jaw was from a near 500-year-old orangutan.

Piltdown Man was not sciences only boo-boo. The famous Nebraska Man also had holes shot in him. Nebraska Man was thought to be a legitimate missing link that was constructed from one tooth. Later, however, it was determined that the tooth was from an extinct pig.

It doesn't end here either. Java Man, which was a formulated fossil from assembling one piece of skull, a sliver of thigh bone, and three teeth with a slab of plaster was later discredited. All experts now hold that Java Man is completely human. No partial human, partial animal, transitional form or evolution's golden ticket here.

How about Neanderthal Man? Neanderthal Man, the stooped over man that looked like an ape, was later determined to be fully man with a disease that caused an arched back.

In 1999, the National Broadcasting Channel (NBC) reported on a discovery in Australia. According to the Journal of Science, life appeared on earth some 2.7 billion years ago. But the problem was that this was off from the original prediction by 1,000,000,000 years. OOPS! Only a billion years off. This discovery changed where life supposedly originated-from Africa to Asia. But that is only a theory that is valid until the next theory erupts.

In 2001, USA Today (March edition) issue published an article that Paleontologists discovered something that would make science reformulate their theories about the origin of humans. A Reuters report claimed that this discovery left science confused and insinuated that Lucy is not a direct descendant of humans after all.

I like what Charles Spurgeon said about the frailty of science: "We are invited, brethren, most earnestly to go away from the old-fashioned belief of our forefathers because of the supposed discoveries of science. What is science? The method by which man tries to hide his ignorance. It should not be so, but it is. You are not to be dogmatical in theology, my brethren, it is wicked; but for scientific men it is the correct thing. You are never to assert anything very strongly; but scientists may boldly assert what they cannot prove, and demand a faith far more credulous than any we possess. Forsooth, you and I are to take our Bibles and shape and mold our beliefs according to the ever-shifting teachings of so-called scientific men. What folly is this? Why, the march of science, falsely so called through the world may be traced by exploded fallacies and abandoned theories. Former explorers are now ridiculed; the continual wreckings of false hypotheses is a matter of universal notoriety. You may tell where the supposed learned have encamped by the debris left behind of suppositions and theories as plentiful as broken bottles."

When so-called scientists strike with their insane theories, we need to strike back. We, at the very least, need to strike back. Christians must once again enter the battle and attack the front lines of the armies that are proliferating these demented "theories".

What has happened to the church these days? No really, what has happened to us? It is almost like we roll over and hide under our safe little rock any time someone decides to eradicate the fabric of morality and Christianity. We have pro-abortion presidents speaking at Catholic and Christian universities and receiving honorary degrees for doing absolutely nothing but further promoting America's immorality. Yeah, I said that. Politicians are becoming increasingly emboldened to doing whatever it is that they want to do-even commanding that Christians schools cover up crosses and school emblems so that it won't offend atheists or some Jihadists in the Middle East when they speak. Our educational institutions are crumbling by the second. And now, to put the icing on the cake, a new piece of "supposed" evidence has emerged to make those that believe in God look like the buffoons we supposedly evolved from.  But where is the church on these issues? Why is it that the church is no longer impacting culture? Why must we now only resort to defensive measures when previously it was the world that had to counter our move? I think it is time to speak out a little. And we don't need to be scientists to do so. And we don't need to be politicians. And we don't need to be pastors.

Oh, and by the way, evolution (macro) is completely untrue. It is a direct heresy to say that God used evolution to propagate the planet. Christians do not need to reconcile the Bible with science. Science and scientists need to reconcile their heart with God. The Bible says that God brought forth creatures after their own kind. He did not impregnate the ground with seeds, or put the primordial soup there and let things happen on their own. He placed the trees and humans and animals on earth as whole units. Yes, these things did contain seeds, but God placed the first prototype and from there they populated and proliferated throughout the world. This is not to say that there was not, is not, microevolution. Microevolution is the slow adaptive changes within a species-like differing dog or cats within a species. It may also apply to human characteristics. For example, humans who live in more humid climates, over time, will have enlarged nostrils. Those who lived for generations in colder climates will have slimmer nostrils, etc.  It does, however, not mean a change, or transition, in species-from one species to another. This would be called, macroevolution. Macroevolution is contrary to Scripture.

11 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day...

20 Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
(Portions from Genesis chapter one NKJV).

So while all this information is good, it will probably not lead anyone to a relationship with the Lord. Now, it is never advisable to directly bring up the subject of evolution while trying to speak to someone about the things of God, but it is helpful to have a bit of background information if it does come up. And, judging by the way things are going, someone will probably bring it up as a trump card. If you would like some great one-liners for witnessing please read the following article; it contains ideas such as: what caused the big bang? What was the catalyst for the spark? Where did space come from? Etc. In the first evolved creature, let's say it was a monkey. What evolved first? Was it the eyes to see the food, the mouth to eat it, the stomach to digest it, or the pooper to eliminate it? This is a concept called irreducible complexity. It basically teaches that in order for something to work properly all components must be in place. This is contrary to macroevolution. Check it out: www.unpopulartruth.org/evolution.html

It should never be our goal to debate someone about an issue simply because we can. Christians obviously have the upper hand because we have the truth. But we must use the truth to lead people to a loving Savior, Jesus Christ, not lead them down the "gotcha" road for our own purpose.

Use the mirror of the Ten Commandments to show people that they have offended a loving God who desires to be reconciled to them (Exo. 20; Eph.). Everyone has told a lie. Almost everyone has stolen something, even if it was small. Everyone has lusted after another person, and Jesus says that is adultery (Matt. 5:28). We are sinners and we cannot have fellowship here on earth (nor will we in heaven) if we do not apply, by faith, what Christ did for us on the cross (Rom. 3; Rom. 6). It is like standing in front of a judge in court. We know we are guilty, so what must the judge do-even if he is a loving judge? He must mete out justice. He must hand down the sentence. Not applying justice wouldn't be love to the rest of society.

My friend, Jesus was the pardon for our crimes against God (Heb. 9). We all offended and broke God's law. The punishment for that crime is death. Christ took that punishment for us on the cross. And He even defeated death by rising from the grave on the third day. We must accept what He did for us by faith and turn from our lifestyle of sin. Then we must live for God and begin a relationship with Him that is closer than anyone you can think of on earth.

6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 NKJV

Remember, if you think you came from a baboon, you might just be acting like one.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 16:25)
